4 adults, 8 kids & a lake

For the third year in a row, we had the opportunity to go to my parents' lake house with our long-time friends, the Wards. Every year, in a documentary photo on the steps, we seem to add another child. We didn't go during peak swimming season this year, but there was no lack of activity. The kids all had turns in pairs out on the canoe, we went on nature walks, road bikes to the park, made microwave s'mores (not enough time for building a fire), took in views from the top of the ski slope (about a minute too late for the sunset thanks to my scatter-braininess). spotted about two dozen deer, went on runs, enjoyed adult conversation, explored in the woods, played a multitude of games, and spent a lot of time preparing and eating yummy food in the kitchen. Thanks for another full and fun, yet rejuvenating, weekend, Wards! We're blessed by your friendship!
